Supernova is an acrylic assemblage piece consisting of a mounted set of four separate smaller canvasses on a painted wood panel. The image can be described as having a gold hot center within a black hole - or supernova - which makes the viewer wonder if they’re being pulled inward or expanding outward. I incorporated acrylic flat and metallic paints into mesmerizing flashes of golds, blues, yellows, and reds to create the illusion of the four canvasses blowing apart - separated on the panel - into an explosion of chaos and color. 
Supernova draws you in with a gravitational pull while leaving you with a sense that the colors are orbiting your gaze.
